Artwork Specifications

To ensure you are totally satisfied with the product you are ordering, please be aware of the following guidelines.

FILE FORMATS:
We accept JPEG (.jpg / .jpeg / .jpe), PNG (.png), Bitmap (.bmp), TIFF (.tif / .tiff), PDF (.pdf) and GIF (.gif)

FILE SIZES:
All uploads must be 10MB or smaller and not exceed 2000 pixels in height or width.

RESOLUTION:
300 dpi (or better) uploads are best. Very large (1900 pixels wide or more)

Image resolution guidelines

COLOUR:
All uploads must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). If you upload a black & white image, it must be provided in greyscale colour mode.

TEMPLATES:
If you already have the artwork prepared and do not require one of our design templates, then you should immediately proceed to http://www.123print.co.uk/Upload.aspx These blank templates will enable you to go directly to the design studio for uploading purposes.

BLEEDS:
A bleed is the printing that extends to the end of the sheet after trimming. By allowing the image to extend to the edge of the product, you’ll ensure that a white line will never appear on the edges of the final printed item.
All 123Print products allow a 3mm bleed with the exception of DL envelopes.

SAVE YOUR DESIGN:
So you created your printed product but you’re not ready to proceed in ordering it? In the design studio (see below), there is a feature that will allow you to save it for later use.

When it's time to retrieve your saved design, click on “View Saved Designs” (see image above) and you’ll be directed to sign in with your email address and password. You can also access this sign in via the “Login” link at the top of each web page or the footer (under “My Account”).

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
• Multiple page PDF’s?our design studio cannot accommodate them at this time.
• Placing text outside of the dotted lines in the Design Studio. It may be trimmed off during the printing process.
• Placing parts of your images and photos outside of the dotted or solid lines in the Design Studio.
• Photos from camera phones or cameras rated below 3 megapixels may not produce satisfactory results.
• Photos from digital cameras should have been taken at the highest quality .jpg or .tif setting.
• Larger photos produce better results when cropping and enlarging a small area.
